Abbey View, St. Albans Update

Abbey View, St Albans is continuing to make great progress on site. The team are currently installing studwork as the internal layout takes shape, while electricians carry out first fix works. Insulation and boarding are underway across several areas, roof works are progressing, and the team have also been clearing out the undercroft in preparation for the next stage of the build. Great work from everyone on site as the project continues to move forward.

Benchmark Group Supports National Careers Week at North Notts College

On Thursday 5th March, the Benchmark Group team visited North Notts College as part of National Careers Week to engage with students and discuss the opportunities available through apprenticeships within the industry. The visit provided a great opportunity to speak with the next generation about the value of hands-on learning, career pathways in skilled trades, and the long-term prospects apprenticeships can offer.
At Benchmark Group, we are proud to support apprentices and play a part in developing the future workforce by encouraging young people to explore rewarding careers in the construction and manufacturing sectors.

Benchmark Group Visits KBB Exhibition 2026

On 3rd March 2026, the Benchmark Group team visited the KBB Exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham — one of the UK’s leading trade events for kitchens, bedrooms, and bathrooms. The visit provided a great opportunity to explore the latest industry innovations, connect with suppliers and manufacturers, and gain insight into upcoming design and product trends. Events like KBB help ensure we stay at the forefront of the industry and continue bringing fresh ideas, quality products, and innovative solutions to our clients.

Celebrating Success: Employer of The Month

Back in May, Benchmark Group was named Employer of the Month by North Notts College.
​
We’re proud of that recognition because apprentices aren’t just here to “help out.” They’re the future of our industry. They bring new ideas, energy and the kind of questions that push us all to stay sharp.
​
We don’t just hire apprentices. We invest in them. We train, support and give them real responsibility from day one. If we want a strong construction industry, we need to build it from the ground up.
​

Abbey View, St. Albans Update
Wednesday 29th October 2025
Work at the St Albans site is progressing well, with strong momentum and a continued focus on quality and safety.
​
We’re pleased to report zero incidents on site, with all operatives working safely and in full PPE compliance. Boarding, stud wall, and firewall installations are advancing steadily, and several areas have moved from demolition to structural and fit-out stages as the layout takes shape.
​
Next, the team will complete key fire protection measures, progress internal works, and prepare each floor for boarding and finishing.
A big thank you to everyone on site for their hard work and professionalism.
